Made here. But was the steel?
A shed can be made in Australia from imported steel. Ask where the steel coil was made, not just where it was formed into sheeting.
An Australian-made shed can contain imported steel. Ask who made the steel itself and where it was manufactured. Genuine COLORBOND® steel is made by BlueScope; a similar-looking colour is not proof of the same product.
Confirm the brand and origin for the roof, walls and framing separately. Your quote should identify ZINCALUME® steel and other component finishes separately.
The metallic coating helps protect the steel beneath it. BlueScope’s Activate® technology uses an aluminium/zinc/magnesium coating, changing its corrosion-protection mechanisms.
Compare the precise product, base steel thickness, coating specification, exposure suitability and warranty conditions. Activate® technology does not apply to COLORBOND® steel products with a galvanised substrate.

Your comparison checklist: Manufacturer and origin; brand/product for each component; thickness and measurement basis; coating designation; site suitability; warranty issuer and exclusions. Compare written specifications, not assumptions about imported coil.
